Willie Desjardins
Former NHL Head Coach for the Vancouver Canucks and the Los Angeles Kings. Also coached in the AHL, Olympics, and World Juniors.
Glen Gulutzan
Former NHL Head Coach for the Dallas Stars and the Calgary Flames. Served as an assistant for the Vancouver Canucks and Edmonton Oilers.
Marc Crawford
NHL Coach for the Quebec Nordiques, Colorado Avalanche, Vancouver Canucks, Dallas Stars, and now Assistant Head Coach with the Chicago Blackhawks.
Shawn Horcoff
The former Captain of the Edmonton Oilers. Currently serves as a development coach for the Detroit Red Wings.
Brandon Sutter
Currently playing with the Vancouver Canucks. Has also played for the Carolina Hurricanes and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Brian Elliott
NHL Goaltender for the Ottawa Senators, Colorado Avalanche, St. Louis Blues, Calgary Flames, and the Philadelphia Flyers.
Cassie Campbell
Former Canadian Olympic player and current broadcaster for Sportsnet. In 2016, Cassieโs contributions to the womenโs game were recognized with an appointment to the Order of Canada.
Andy Moog
Legendary NHL goaltender for the Edmonton Oilers, Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens. Coached for the Dallas Stars. Moog is a three-time Stanley Cup champion.
Ken Hitchcock
Legendary NHL Coach for the Dallas Stars, Philadelphia Flyers, Columbus Blue Jackets, St. Louis Blues, and Edmonton Oilers. Has also coached for the Canadian Olympic Team.
Mel Davidson
Legendary Coach and GM for Hockey Canada. Her role in the Olympics earned her various honors including being inducted into the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame and the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame.
Les Jackson
Former longtime executive with the Dallas Stars, including roles as GM, Assistant GM and Head Scout. Currently works as a pro scout with the Florida Panthers.
Derek Dorsett
Former NHL Player. Played for the Columbus Blue Jackets, New York Rangers and Vancouver Canucks.
Mike Valley
Former goaltending coach and Director of Goaltending Development for the Dallas Stars.
Stu Barnes

Jarret Bousquet

Your Schedule
The course officially begins on October 7th. You will have 8 weeks to complete the course.Students will be asked to reflect on the lessons and will be asked to share what they learned and how it may help their own athletic journeys.
How It Works In Alberta
This course is worth up to 3 credits in Alberta
The House of Leaders is a division of Prairie Rose and South Alberta High School, that offers Becoming Player X.๐ Eligible Students must be residents of Alberta and are currently in grades 10-12. Students move through the course as a group.๐ Your work will be graded by teachers at Prairie Rose. An assigned teacher will be assisting you whenever you need help.๐ Your credits earned will be included on your high school transcripts and apply toward your diploma.๐ We have proudly partnered with Hockey Alberta.
